I was honored to be commissioned by the Royal Danish Academy to create this portrait series of the institution’s Executive Board. The goal was to bridge the gap between formal academic leadership and the inherent creative spirit of the institution.
A central focus was ensuring that the portraits aligned perfectly with the Royal Danish Academy’s visual identity, creating a streamlined aesthetic that integrates seamlessly with their website and digital platforms. Working with a clean, high-key visual language, the portraits emphasize clarity and presence.
By utilizing a minimalist palette and soft, intentional lighting, the series captures the authority of the board while maintaining a sense of warmth and approachability. These images highlight the individuals behind the titles, the people who guide the future of Danish architecture, design, and conservation.
