I have over a long period of time noticed that Finland is home for a lot of talented designers. I have never taken Finland into consideration when I have done research – at least not until recently. My newest Finnish acquaintance is FRENN that I today want to introduce you to. The brand was founded in 2013 by the two Helsinki-based designers Antti Laitinen and Jarkko Kallio. They take their inspiration from Helsinki and its people – they say what they mean, they do what they say and still has a sense of humor. FRENN creates comfortable, casual, tailored menswear mastering details and rays of Scandinavian design. The clothes are designed in Helsinki and manufactured in Estonia of organic materials.

The other day I was wearing this outfit when I was going for a meeting and then out for a cup of coffee. It is a perfect outfit for a day in the city. The shirt and wool jacket, which looks like a casual long blazer, gives together a cool combination. I started to style these two items with a pair of black trousers, but it resulted in a too formal look to the day’s chores and I therefore chose to add a pair of denim jeans instead, in order to tone down the otherwise classic look.
